Little Acorns Go Apple Picking

The children discovered the tree in the garden has started to bare apples! With support from the staff, they used the step ladder to reach the branches and collect the apples. A discussion followed regarding where different fruit grows such as pears, strawberries and tomatoes. Together they realised that some fruit grows from a plant whereas others grow from the ground. The children worked on their fine motor skills by using safety knives to cut the apples into slices to make apple crisps!
