Kiddi Caru Milton Keynes School Readiness Programme

We take the responsibility to prepare children and families in our care for the transition School very seriously. Recently, we conducted a parents evening to explain the steps to the school application process, what ‘school-readiness means’ and how we prepare the children at nursery. The parents also enjoyed taking part in a Boogie Mites school readiness session with the song, ‘Clap Clap Clap’.

Together we discussed the local schools, open days and the benefits of a child being a Kiddi Caru preschool graduate. Our ‘School Readiness Programme’ ensures little ones carry out regular activities to build their confidence. These include PE sessions, to help children get used to changing into and out of their sports kit. As well as visits from local teachers to help build relationships before their first day. Also, the team create displays to inform the child of who in their nursery will be going to the same school.
