Kiddi Caru Chelmsford Get Coordinated

The little ones have been using the hammers to knock shapes into the right spaces on the shape sorters. They tried again and again if the shape would not fit, until they found the right hole. This promotes their hand-eye co-ordination, as well as their palmer grasp and control of the hammer. The children have also been applying the same method to the inset puzzle boards, as well as using the pictures as a guide and matching them to the pieces.

The preschool children have also been working on their coordination at their woodwork bench. The staff and children discussed the importance of using the tools safely and wearing protective clothing/goggles. They had access to saws, files, hammers and screwdrivers, as well as nails and screws. The children chose a specific tool for the task they wanted to complete, with the support and guidance of the adult present. They all made a variety of models, cars, planes and presents and were very proud of their finished product.
