Whitwick Day Nursery and Preschool in Coalville, Leicestershire is currently on the lookout for a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their team. Specialising in working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is a must.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for the highest level of care and education for all children. Ensuring the individual needs of the children are identified and met. Along with building positive working relationships with the children, staff, parents and carers.

You will be qualified to level 3 qualification in Childcare with relevant experience in supporting children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS in a Nursery Nurse or Nursery Practitioner role.

Experience, skills and attributes:

  • An outstanding practitioner with high expectations and have recent SEND experience
  • Proficient in supporting the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning
  • An effective communicator and have the ability to work in collaboration with colleagues and external agents and stakeholders within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting children whom may have complex learning and physical needs.
  • Ensure children's wellbeing and education is robustly supported.

Responsibilities:

  • The individual needs of children are identified and met.
  • Company policies, procedures and operational practices are adhered to at all times.
  • Positive working relationships with children, staff, parents and carers.
  • Robust and individually tailored learning, development and support plans are implemented for children with SEND in conjunction with parents and external agents.
