Whitwick Day Nursery Celebrate Storytelling Week

To celebrate National Storytelling Week the children discussed their favourite stories and characters. The staff saw the opportunity to encourage the children’s interest in books and to develop their imagination. So, everyone gathered their favourite stories and added resources such as masks, mini characters and pictures from the stories. They then read the stories with the children recalling and joining in with their favourite parts. Then the children recreated their own versions of the stories, changing the endings, drawing new pictures and making masks to represent the characters.
