Torquay Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Is Aping Around for Red Nose Day
Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Torquay day nursery are all Aping Around for Red Nose Day this year.
On Friday 13th March with help of new children’s picture book the Queen’s Orang-utan from David Williams, the nursery will be trying to raise as much money as they can for the charity.
Red Nose Day is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events encouraging people to get involved in lots of fun activities to raise cash and change lives. The money raised is spent by the charity to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
The nursery is holding activities all week in the run-up to Red Nose Day. There will be cooking and baking of Monkey biscuits and cakes, creative activities with the making of Monkey masks and Crowns inspired by the Queen’s Orang-utan.
The pre-school children will enjoy an Animal Safari while parents and children can enter the Guess the Name of the Monkey and the Guess the number of Banana sweets in a jar competitions.
The nursery will round off the week’s fundraising activities by all dressing up as Monkeys on Red Nose Day.
David Lord, Nursery Manager, said: “The children all love Red Nose Day and having fun so the theme of Aping Around is absolutely perfect! We are really looking forward to having a fantastic day and being able to raise lots of money in the process for this worthwhile charity.”
