Kiddi Caru Writtle Day Nursery is Getting into the Groove For Sport Relief
Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Day nursery in Writtle are all getting ready to Shimmy with Timmy in order to raise funds for Sport Relief this year.
On Friday 18th March, all the children and staff will be having a sponsored danceathon in the morning in the nursery’s garden. Over 100 children and 20 adults will be taking part, wearing their favourite dance and fitness outfits and showing off their best dance moves to raise money for this very deserving cause. Afterwards there will be a Sport Relief cake sale so everyone can replace some of the energy they burnt off dancing.
Sport Relief is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events encouraging people to get involved in lots of sporty activities to raise cash and change lives. The money raised is spent by the charity to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Jennie Gregory, Nursery Manager, said: “Timmy is one of the children’s favourite characters and incorporating him into our fund raising event is a brilliant idea. We are all ready to dance the morning away on the 18th March and I hope that we are able to raise lots of money for this worthwhile charity at the same time.”
