Kiddi Caru Whiteley Have Green Fingers
The children have shown a lot of interest in gardening, using their senses to explore different textures and smells. The team brought the outside in and made a sensory tray where the children had an opportunity to experience soil, gardening tools and used tweezers to dig out spaghetti worms. To extend their interest further, the staff made sensory bottles with leaves and toy bugs, which the children loved, topping the theme off with a bug hunt in the garden. The children discussed the different bugs they know of and read bug themed stories together as a room.
