Kiddi Caru Plympton Day Nursery is Getting into the Groove To Support Sports Relief
Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Day nursery in Plympton are all getting ready to Shimmy with Timmy in order to raise funds for Sports Relief this year.
On Friday 18th March the nursery will be holding its very own Shimmy with Jimmy discos with staff and children dressing up in their favourite dancing outfits and getting ready to ‘Wooltze’ and Lamb-bada the day away.
In the week before Disco Day the nursery is holding lots of exciting activities to help raise funds including a bumpy crawl, colouring and painting favourite Timmy Time characters, indoor and outdoor sporting activities, story time with Timmy and Friends, making Timmy headbands and masks as well as learning the ‘Step it Moves for Sports Relief’ dance.
Sports Relief is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events encouraging people to get involved in lots of sporty activities to raise cash and change lives. The money raised is spent by the charity to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Tracey Callan, Nursery Manager, said: “We have so many exciting activities planned for Sports Relief that I am not sure how we will fit them all in but I know we are all really looking forward to a fun week. Timmy is one of the children’s favourite characters and incorporating him into our fund raising event is a brilliant idea and I hope that we are able to raise lots of money for this worthwhile charity.”
