Kiddi Caru Harlow Celebrates Fourth Outstanding Ofsted Success
It’s celebration time at Harlow’s Kiddi Caru day nursery after the team achieved the nursery’s fourth Outstanding rating from Ofsted in a row.
Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages. They carry out a large number of inspections and regulatory visits across England.
The report highlighted how the strong leadership team at the nursery drives exceptional standards through its high expectations of staff in terms of the delivery of the children’s achievements. Staff interaction with the children was described as outstanding - staff explain, give instructions and ask questions skilfully and the children develop excellent communication and language skills.
In addition, the inspector praised the close attachments babies and children form with the staff, which makes them feel safe, secure and well settled. The children make excellent progress in their learning and are confident exploring the resources both in the nursery and in its garden area.
The report noted how skilled the staff are in using their observations of the children and knowledge of their interests to plan exciting and challenging activities. They are able to identify any gaps in the children’s learning and give special one to one attention to help each one achieve their goals. The inspectors were also impressed with how the children are supported in leading their own play and developing their imaginations while staff extend their learning and encourage creative thinking through skilful interaction.
Louise Farrow, Nursery Manager, said: “We’re all immensely proud to have received a fourth Outstanding report from Ofsted in a row. The team here works very hard and they all do a fantastic job, without them the nursery would not be able to provide such a consistently exceptional offering for the children and their parents. We are really over the moon and a nursery wide celebration is definitely in order!”
