Kiddi Caru Chelmsford Day Nursery is Getting into the Groove For Sport Relief
Children and staff at Kiddi Caru’s Day nursery in Chelmsford are all getting ready to Shimmy with Timmy in order to raise funds for Sport Relief this year.
On Friday 18th March the children will be coming to nursery dressed in their favourite sportswear ready to dance the day away. There will be danceathons, tots Zumba and also a special music and movement session, with the children having their feet painted before dancing on a white sheet to create a unique work of art! In addition, there will be various obstacle courses for all ages so the children can put their sports skills to the test.
Sport Relief is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events encouraging people to get involved in lots of sporty activities to raise cash and change lives. The money raised is spent by the charity to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.
Anna Yeates, Nursery Manager, said: “Timmy is one of the children’s favourite characters and incorporating him into our fund raising event is a brilliant idea. We are all ready to dance the day away on the 18th March and I hope that we are able to raise lots of money for this worthwhile charity at the same time.”
