Kiddi Caru Caldecotte Day Nursery Celebrates British Science Week
Kiddi Caru’s Day nursery in Caldecotte witnessed the potential development of budding scientists this week as the children and staff enjoyed celebrating British Science Week.
British Science Week run by the British Science Association is a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths with activities for people of all ages.
The children tried their hand at lots of different experiments including making coke rockets using mentos and a plastic bottle.
Lucy Clarke, Nursery Manager, said: “A lot of grown-ups can be intimidated by the word ‘science’. However, science can be as simple as watching some cress seeds sprout. We have had a really fun week with the children and I know that many of them have gone home to replicate what we have been doing here with their parents and carers. This will hopefully in turn de-mystify the subject of ‘science’ a little.”
