Fund Raising Foursome from Kiddi Caru Take on Their Biggest Charity Challenge
As part of its long-term partnership with Home-Start UK, four members of the Kiddi Caru Head Office team are taking on their next amazing challenge to help raise funds on behalf of the charity. Even more epic than last year’s Snowdon challenge, the team is participating in Race the Sun.
Race the Sun is held in the Brecon Beacons and in order to successfully complete the challenge the team will need to cycle 45 miles, climb Pen y Fan (2,907ft) and canoe Pontsticill Reservoir (3 km), starting at sun rise and finishing by sunset – quite literally racing the sun!
Coinciding with the team’s challenge, each of the Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries will be holding their Annual Family Fun Day to also raise funds on behalf of Home-Start UK.
Home-Start UK is a national family support charity that helps parents to build better lives for their children. Volunteers provide support and friendship to more than 32,000 families every year. Home-Start UK wants to see a society in which every parent has the support they need to give their children the best possible start in life.
Since the launch of the partnership last year Kiddi Caru has already raised over £8000 on behalf of the charity. Anyone wishing to support the fabulous foursome in their fundraising quest can log on to the Kiddi Caru JustGiving page.
Caron Moseley, Marketing Manager at Kiddi Caru, said: “We thought last year was difficult but this year with the added racing the sun element, we think this challenge will be harder. The team is well underway with their training – I completed a 30 mile ride this weekend and that was tough.
“We do love a challenge at Head Office and despite a couple of concerns that we may have bitten off more than we can chew I know that on the day we will succeed, after all we are helping to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause that failure is just not an option!”
