Early Years Specialist
Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group is seeking an Early Years Specialist to join our Support Office Team.
Kiddi Caru is a growth minded organisation with outstanding quality childcare central to our mission. We operate full day care and Early Years Education across England with nurseries in geographical clusters who are supported by functional specialists and a Support Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
The Early Years Specialist supports nurseries to develop practice and to deliver exceptional care, education and learning outcomes for children and families.
We trust you to help us remain compliant, safe and to achieve Good and Outstanding regulatory outcomes.
You will have outstanding pedagogical experience and at least 2 years experience within the early years sector.
We require someone who has experience in leading and supporting during OFSTED inspections and who possesses an expert knowledge of the inspection framework.
Due to the field based nature of this role the post holder is required to hold a full UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Health, Safety and Safeguarding compliance in relation to the EYFS Welfare Requirements and company policy and procedure
- Contribute towards and implement our Early Years Strategy as requested by the Head of Early Years Development
- Monitor supporting arrangements for children with additional needs at nursery level.
- Work with Regional Managers to improve practice in nurseries identified as requiring additional Early Years expertise involvement by the Head of Early Years Development, including, but not limited to, those that fall below ‘Good’, new openings and acquisitions.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to Nursery Managers and their teams to help them achieve outstanding outcomes for children and families.
- Work directly with nurseries to ensure they are ready for inspection.
- Attend Ofsted inspections, supporting nurseries to maintain/gain a GOOD/OUTSTANDING judgement.
- Support with new nursery set ups and Nursery Manager inductions
- Respond to escalated parent queries and concerns regarding childcare practice
- Record keeping and report writing
- Carry out relevant, necessary tasks in the absence of the Head of Early Years Development

This role is offered on the following basis –
- Full time – 40 hours Monday to Friday.
- Field Based – must be willing to travel.
