What makes us so different
Our commitment to you
You will be given every opportunity to be involved in nursery life and to fully understand how your child progresses and develops within our nursery.
We are here to ensure that you’re confident in the knowledge that your child is getting the best childcare possible and your parental needs are always met. As a result, we hold regular parent evenings, display dedicated parent notice boards and welcome both formal and informal feedback and reviews.
Our nurseries also provide development and learning records for every child, accessible for their parents to view and contribute to at any time. The records are then available to be shared when their child moves onto school.
You will have contact with your child’s key person and every staff members working in your child’s room every time you drop off or pick up your little one from nursery. Additionally, the Nursery Manager is always available on a one-to-one basis.
Our commitment to your child
Our nursery setting enables children to socialise and learn through play from a very early age. Every age group, from babies to pre-school children, have an opportunity to develop and learn through first hand experiences, making use of the wide range of indoor and outdoor facilities we have at our disposal.
When your child joins us, they will be assigned a key person who has dedicated responsibility for working with both you and your child to ensure your needs are met.
At Kiddi Caru, we take pride in our commitment to our staff, and in their commitment to your child. As an experienced provider of childcare, we recognise the clear link between well-qualified, enthusiastic staff and high-quality care and education for your child.
When choosing staff for our nurseries we look, not just for their qualification and experience, but also for that extra passion for working with children and the desire to see them learn and succeed.
There are clear legal requirements relating to staff qualifications to work within a nursery setting; 50% of staff must hold a recognised basic Level 2 childcare qualification and there must be staff trained in paediatric first aid on site.
At Kiddi Caru we exceed the basic requirement:
Over 75% of our staff hold as a minimum Level 3 qualification and we encourage and support the training of staff aspiring for their Level 3.
1 in 2 staff members are paediatric first aid qualified; all staff also receive food hygiene, manual handling and health and safety training.
Our staff also attend training in areas of specialism to ensure support is available for every child and their families.
All nursery staff have a secure working knowledge in areas such as special educational needs and safeguarding children. Every nursery also has specialist staff member who receives extra training in these areas.
Staff attend varied training sessions throughout the year, designed to improve and extend their practice in working with children, including diverse areas such as delivering Sing & Sing, Boogie Mites, yoga for the under-fives and music and movement. Such training contributes to ensuring that the provision in each nursery is interesting and varied and that your little one will enjoy and benefit from their time at Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group.
