Corporate Social Responsibility

Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group: ‘expect the best and experience the exceptional’. This belief is translated and reflected in everything we do. It is achieved by providing a nurturing environment for children and our staff to thrive.

We are committed to being corporate and socially responsible, striving to support the families within the communities we serve. This includes our customers, our employees and families within the wider community and beyond.

Who we are and what we do

Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group was founded in 1998 upon wholly ethical ideals to promote quality day nursery provision. Our organisation is committed to delivering outstanding childcare solutions to families with babies, toddlers and preschool children.

This is our promise to our families (customers):

Our Mission

  • Proud to provide exceptional education and care with every child and family at the centre.

Our Vision

  • Inspiring lifelong learning by recognising and realising the unique potential of every child.

Our Values – Children are at the centre of all we do

  • Care: we truly care and are passionate, knowledgeable, and reflective; aspiring to achieve excellence.
  • Helpful: we are an extension and an integral part of the family unit, having a strong, supportive and valuable presence in a child’s early years.
  • Inspiring: we value all within our staff teams, investing in their development and inspiring their minds to in turn inspire the minds of children.
  • Leaders: We aspire to be leaders and experts in all matters concerning childcare and development.
  • Dynamic: we are solution focused, working together to develop and support every child’s future.

Parent partnerships are of primary importance to us. We give parents and carers every opportunity to be involved in nursery life and to fully understand how their child progresses and develops within our nurseries.

Looking after our Employees

We take pride in our commitment to our staff, and in their commitment to the children. As an experienced provider of childcare, we recognise the clear link between well-qualified, enthusiastic staff and high-quality childcare and education.

When choosing staff for our nurseries we look, not just for their qualification and experience, but also for that extra passion for working with children and the desire to see them learn and succeed.

Our goals and values are the same throughout the organisation and complement our family (customers) values:

We offer a fantastic benefits package to our staff: competitive salary, pension, training, and generous holidays. Our Reward and Recognition scheme not only complements our organisational values but is simple, effective and inclusive.

Staff have the opportunity to attend varied training sessions throughout the year, designed to improve and extend their practice in working with children. Such training contributes to ensuring that the provision in each nursery is interesting and varied.

Our recruitment strategy and apprenticeship programme are always to employ the best talent and therefore, is inclusive. We have great opportunities for continuous professional development for all staff, irrespective of gender. We are committed to equality and inclusion across our network of nurseries.

Protecting the Environment

As part of our Education Strategy ‘Foundations for the Future’, our entire network is committed to achieving the Eco School Green Flag Award by early 2022 with full involvement of staff, children and families.

The focus being to embed practices to support our pillars of learning to ensure our staff empower our children to become environmentally aware and responsible influencers.

Community Engagement

We are proud to support a range of local charities. Our staff and parents select causes which are close to their hearts and are linked to the centre of the local community.

Our corporate charity partner is Home-Start UK and was selected as it strategically aligned to our brand integrity and company philosophy.

The charity was founded in 1973 and has continued to grow, it now has 16,000 volunteers who support 30,000 families every year. It is one of the leading family support charities in the UK, their volunteers help families with young children deal with the challenges they face. They support parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for the children.

Since 2014, the Kiddi Caru Day Nurseries Group has raised over £25,000 through our dedicated staff giving up their spare time and generous parent donations. This enabled Home-Start to train more volunteers and therefore help more families in need.
