Exeter Nursery

We are an OUTSTANDING nursery arranged over two floors with 11 playrooms, each of which offer a safe and secure environment as well as being bright and stimulating for the children. The playrooms are laid out so that the children have the opportunity to explore independently whilst having a home from home feel to them. We display examples of children’s art work backed up with the use of photographs which gives the parents/carers and visitors an insight to the vast amount of activities that happen throughout the day.

The nursery benefits from four large garden areas which provide opportunities for the children to explore, reflect and interact. We have a growing plot where children are encouraged to get involved with the planting of vegetables which we then harvest. The children gain experience of caring for them, helping and watching them develop.

The nursery has an on-site kitchen where meals from our seasonal menus are freshly prepared each day and cater for children’s individual dietary requirements.

The nursery has a big emphasis on ‘Learning through Play’ and the planning of activities take into account each child’s individual needs, interests and abilities. We provide activities which enable the children to gain the necessary skills required for them to develop into confident, independent and active learners. We have a keycarer system in place to help achieve this.
