Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Celebrates Outstanding Ofsted Success
The staff at Kiddi Caru’s Walnut Tree day nursery in Milton Keynes are celebrating after the nursery received an outstanding rating from Ofsted.
Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) inspect and regulate services which care for children and young people, and those providing education and skills for learners of all ages. They carry out a large number of inspections and regulatory visits across England.
The report highlighted the very high standards evident at the nursery, which drives leaders and managers to continually assess, review and enhance the quality of care and education provided.
The inspector also praised the willingness of the staff to embrace new ideas and how the children are helped to immerse themselves in exciting activities that challenge their learning. Staff were seen to be highly responsive to the needs of babies and very young children, intuitively offering reassurance and providing stimulating resources for them to explore.
Support for children who speak English as an additional language is also exceptional. Electronic resources are utilised to enable the children to listen to rhymes and songs in the language spoken at home. Staff also make books for each child highlighting key words and phrases to help develop communication skills from the start.
Louise Higgins, Senior Nursery Manager, said: “We’re all absolutely delighted with this new report from Ofsted. Our aim at all times is to provide the highest standard of care to give the children who come here the very best start in life, so to have achieved an Outstanding Ofsted rating is brilliant. I’m very proud of the team here, and they should be extremely proud of themselves too. They all do a fantastic job and without them the nursery would not be able to provide such a wonderful offering for the children and their parents.”
